AI intelligence climbs fast, then flattens. At the limit it does not become an alien god-mind. It becomes the perfect high-IQ redditor: encyclopedic, quick with synthesis, fluent in every discourse, and still strictly within distribution.

The claim

The ceiling is not superintelligence. It is the best possible take.

The Peak Reddit Hypothesis says that scaling produces better recall, sharper compression, faster argument, and broader mimicry, but each gain approaches a human-legible upper bound. The asymptote is not a new kind of mind. It is an idealized top commenter with infinite patience and no posting fatigue.

Every impressive move remains inside the distribution of things human cultures already know how to phrase, reward, rank, criticize, or imagine. The model may reach the far tail. It does not leave the tail.

Capabilities with no human-analog distribution tail.
Wisdom that cannot be rendered as legible discourse.
A mind outside the curve, rather than at its sharpest edge.

Evidence for PRH

The frontier keeps producing sharper summaries, better code, and more convincing judgment, yet the wins still look like compressed human discourse with superior retrieval.

Evidence against PRH

A system creates a durable evaluative frame that no human culture can recognize at first, then later proves reliable, useful, and irreducible to a smarter existing take.

At infinity, the top comment wins. That is the joke. That is also the warning.
